Robin Wilder, 52, has been living homeless for the last 10 years, in San Francisco, CA, and walks every day the same route to the methadone clinic. Wilder is addicted to crack and has a difficult time getting sleep, so she takes methadone because it helps her rest. San Francisco is one of the wealthiest cities in the state, but does not have enough low income housing to accommodate for the large population of homeless people. Homelessness is an epidemic in the city, with an estimated 10,000 people living without homes, according to San Francisco County estimates.
