The White House News Photographers Association makes every effort to respect copyright. In the case of the Eyes of History contests the WHNPA requests a usage license for the works it would like to feature and celebrate. When the WHNPA is not able to get the requested usage license or the WHNPA is in the process of getting the license the website will instead use a blank frame in place of the work.
