2022 Eyes of History Contests Judging and Speaker Event

General Membership Meeting and Speaker Event
On Friday February 25, WHNPA will host a general membership meeting and speaker program: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. Featuring, past WHNPA president and 2011 Lifetime Achievement recipient and WHNPA’s 100 years project committee member, Dennis Brack, who will share some historical behind the scenes images of pioneering WHNPA members at work, shot by members, that have been preserved of over the last 100 years. Dennis and longtime WHNPA member Ron Bennett, worked tirelessly over several years to digitize these images. Dennis will share some insightful stories about what it was like to work in Washington years ago, and the relationships
developed over the years.
And 2022 Digital Storytelling judge, Sue Morrow, will discuss some of the most compelling stories that she has worked on over her diverse career, and will share her insights on what she thinks will be the future of visual journalism.
